Entrance Interview
Federal regulations
require that, before any Federal loans are disbursed to a student
account, the student must complete an Entrance Interview. This takes about 25
minutes and may be done either on-line at
Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) or
in-person at the Office of Financial Aid. The Entrance Interview is a counseling
session that provides information about how to manage student loans, both during
and after college.

Promissory Notes
Most loans require you to sign a promissory note, which is documentation of
your obligation to repay the loan. All promissory notes are to be signed and
returned to the guarantors who sent them to you, except for the Federal Perkins
Loan or the Federal Nursing Loan, which are to be returned to the Villanova
University Office of Financial Aid.
Work Study
If you are offered Federal Work Study as a part of your award package, visit the Office
of Financial Aid. Here you will need to complete the On-Campus Employee Referral
Form, W-4 form, and I-9 form.
It is the responsibility of the student to choose
and secure a job from those available in the
Student Job Directory. Students should also
understand that federal Work-study funds are not credited to tuition but paid as
a regular paycheck and can be used towards educational expenses.
